Beau the Dog 1996-2005
The dog from my artworks is based on my old family dog ‘Beau’.
He was a Labrador x Red Healer who’s passions included food and laying in front of the heater. He had a round body and skinny legs, and he would always sit with one leg hanging out the side.
I moved out of home with Beau into my first house in 2005, where I painted the first ‘Man on a Rock’ painting ‘Outback Outhouse’. Its been 10 years since Beau past, but his memory and style lives on in the paintings and his names lives on in my son (who also loves food and air conditioners).
