What I’m working on for the ‘CONNECTIONS EXHIBITION’…
‘Connections’ is an exploration of our links to WA through nature, places, and each other…and i’m also taking the ‘Connection’ further with a little world building! Though the 22 new pieces, I’ll be connecting all the artworks together with visual stories and easter eggs, over four series including: The Man & Dog, The Aquarium, Peacock Patterns, and the new ‘Littles’ series.
After visiting the Dr Suess gallery in Sydney I became aware, that much like his work, over the past 14 years of painting a huge range of series and concepts, that these were all part of MY ‘Art World’, and one series connects to another. I brought this idea to my new collection of artworks and wanted to share it will you…so come and get a little insight into my imagination, and during the weeks following the exhibition there will be a ‘Meet & Greet’ with print signing on the Saturday before Mothers Day, and Artist walkthroughs to learn about the artworks, my idea process and lead you though the connections of my expanding Art World!
Opening night you’ll have the first opportunity to see new artwork, with pieces of all sizes, including many of the popular smaller oil paintings.

THE ARTISTS
This is a personal painting of Sally’s, and one with special meaning, W is for West Perth. Painted from her kitchen window, facing Kings Park. Its the view she looked out on for 2 years and is similar to Sally’s recent work in that it is anatomically correct, with a playful take on the scenes around us. Happy and vibrant, with structure and curves, what’s not to love! Prints available during the exhibition.
One of the recent paintings of Peter’s that has snuck into the exhibition. The little peacock girl is back! Peter has weaved 4 different series together for the ‘CONNECTIONS Exhibition’, with this little pair making a few appearances. There are also some fishing, sharks, swimming and outback WA! Big and small, bold and soft. All connecting to our beautiful state!
This little water colour and ink on paper is called ‘Silver Princess’.
This is Nicola’s favourite flower (and mine!) The vibrant colour of the flower is bold against the pale gumnut. This painting focuses solely on the beautiful flower painted with layered washes of watercolour and is finished with intricate pen and ink linework. Simply divine! One of many to fall in love with in the CONNECTIONS Exhibition!
‘THE DREAMCATCHERS’
SOLD at the live Telethon Auction last October for an AMAZING $26,000…then the next day I was on a plane to NSW to paint my first silo. Arts Edge & myself will continue giving more to Telethon as on exhibition night I release a very limited number of prints, with more money from each print sale going to Telethon for 2023. Come see a large print in person and choose a size for you before they sell out!!
