Great article was featured in ‘Stirling Times’ and ‘Perth Now’ show the progress of my latest mural commissioned by the City of Stirling at the Karrinyup Library and exterior of the Karrinyup Shopping Centre.
‘Fishing for Dreams’ is a story about ‘connection’. It begins with the creativity of a boy hanging ropes up into the trees, which come down throughout the mural to the others, supporting and joining them all together. Imagination, adventure, community, serenity and knowledge all connecting under the same roof.
It is a large mural with has both interior and exterior walls. The interior is spans 3 walls in the Library’s entry foyer and with bright light colours to the left side along with directional storytelling imagery is to assist visitors to enter via the left door and exit via the right. Left to right the story starts with a boy hanging ropes into tree canopy and the remaining wall all connect to these ropes including the swing on the outside wall.
