In September 2013 one of my twin daughters Skye was diagnosed with Leukaemia. To care for Skye, I quit my full time job and worked from home, focusing on my art and expanding my artwork to new galleries and a larger audience. Over the past two years my work have been received well which has been a great support to get through the difficult time. Skye became my little apprentice and on her appointment days at Princess Margaret Hospital we would often head to the art stores where she would pick up her own canvas and supplied to paint with.
On December 7th, Skye’s treatment will finish and the Make-a-Wish foundation will be throwing Skye a party with Batman presenting her with tickets to go a meet him at Movie World in March. In appreciation for the Make-a-Wish foundation helping to give my family a light at the end of a ‘long’ tunnel and to celebrate Skye’s treatment finishing, I will be raising money with proceeds from all limited edition print sales going to the ‘Make-a-Wish’ foundation.
This Christmas, if you’re looking for a gift that will go a little further to make a child’s wish come true, visit my online store or see below for a gallery near you, and purchase a limited edition rag paper or canvas print.
