Peter Ryan’s private poolside mural commission in Perth’s Coastal Suburbs.
This one utilized the shadows of the frangipani trees and garden at dusk to track out the shapes to make them a permanent fixture and blend the mural into the gardens surroundings and the closeness to coast, the breezy area, the pool and summer feel and the interaction.This mural was a subtle solution to create interesting floral art around a pool area, with a beautiful (but again not so in your face) hero element in the centre.
What I found particularly successful with this mural was the shading of the girl (with fast drying exterior paints) was extremely close to the oil painted version of the girl, and with the shadow looks to be popping off the wall.
